I was not able to find documentation on the nedit.shellCommand resource. The closest result I could find is http://www.nedit.org/pipermail/develop/2003-March/004942.html, which discusses the various fields in the resource. Most of that is clear, but I am in the dark about the flags. From the neditrc file, I noticed ED, EX, AW, W, but I have no idea what they do. What flags are there, and what do they do?

Regards,

NEdit is a menu driven editor. The nedit.rc file should not be edited
by hand. It is automatically created and stores merely menu settable
resources. (nedit.rc is an X resource blob;-)

To change the settings of the shell menu, invoke Preferences ->
Default Settings -> Customize Menus -> Shell Menu

Cheers,
