Hi,

Has anyone managed to change the copy and paste buttons on a mac
to use the general mac cmd key? Is this possible, i.e. rather than the ctrl +c.

thanks

Hello Martin,

You should be able to change the copy and paste buttons by finding out
what the command key generates in X11, which may require you to make
some changes to the way X11 works, since X11.app does not sent CMD key
events to X, IIRC. You can use the xev program to work with this.

Then, you should read about the X resources that NEdit provides. To
see now those can be used in practice, you may want to check out this:

<http://my.opera.com/arcfide/blog/2010/06/09/maximizing-nedit-the-function-keys>

Which shows how I remapped NEdit to take advantage of all the keys on
my keyboard, or at least most of them.
